Scrying - Magick Mirror

Scrying is a meditative practice used for divination.  The Scrying Mirror or Crystal Ball are tools used to help focus the third eye when the practitioner seeks to attenuate to the cosmic vision.  Much like the 3-D magic eye puzzles, we do not actively look at the tool but rather we peripherally observe it.

It is easy to make your own scrying mirror.

Take a picture frame, clean the glass and paint one side with black paint.
When the paint is dry, you might inscribe your magical symbol onto the painted side with a paint pen.  Gold or Silver are the traditional colors for this type of magical writing.

Replace the glass, unpainted side up, back into the frame.  This is your scrying mirror.

Keep the mirror wrapped in velvet.  Also, you may wish to keep it wrapped with a sprinkling of eyebright flowers inside it, too.

When the moon is full, leave the mirror out through the night to charge it.
